Job summary

Tech-People is seeking a reliable Maintenance Plumber for a hospital site in Chelsea. The role pays £220 per day based on 8 hours (8:00–16:30) on an ongoing contract in a healthcare setting.

Ideal candidates will have solid plumbing/mechanical knowledge with experience in estates or healthcare environments, and must hold a basic DBS or be able to obtain one during employment. You will work both independently and as part of a team to maintain plant rooms and mechanical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a maintenance plumber or mechanical engineer.
• Basic DBS certificate (essential) or enhanced in date DBS, must be obtained while working.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs), including drainage PPMs, strainer maintenance, and basic pump maintenance.
• Work across plant rooms and mechanical infrastructure to ensure smooth operation.
• Diagnose and resolve plumbing/mechanical faults independently where possible.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Follow hospital health & safety and operational procedures at all times.

Rate: £220 pd

We are seeking reliable and experienced Maintenance Mechanical operatives with strong mechanical skills to join the Facilities & Estates hospital team in the Chelsea area.

This hands‑on role is ideal for someone with solid plumbing/mechanical knowledge and experience working in a commercial, estates, or healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs), including drainage PPMs, strainer maintenance, and basic pump maintenance
• Work across plant rooms and mechanical infrastructure to ensure smooth operation
• Diagnose and resolve plumbing/mechanical faults independently where possible
