Responsibilities
  • Ensure safety performance, regulatory compliance, reliability, and cost control.
  • Report to the Maintenance Superintendent and collaborate with Safety, Environmental, Operations, and Reliability leaders to achieve maintenance and operational excellence.
  • Keep equipment bills of material current.
  • Review parts for inventory reduction and/or needed inventory levels.
  • Develop task lists for all new and existing equipment, including standard work procedures.
  • Focus on maximizing wrench time.
  • Assign all work, including redirects, to the maintenance workforce.
  • Lead safety initiatives to ensure an accident-free, safe, and productive workforce.
  • Manage and provide technical assistance to a diverse, highly skilled workforce in a team-oriented, self-directed environment.
  • Manage daily and long-range planning and work execution to meet business goals.
  • Lead efforts to deliver best practices in precision maintenance and improve equipment reliability, integrity, and performance.
  • Maintain productivity through detailed planning and organization of work packages using a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, motivational, and analytical skills.
  • Facilitate resourcing of planned and scheduled maintenance work during weekly meetings.
  • Build strong, cross-functional, empowered teams.
  • Identify and implement training needs.
Entry Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or an Associate's degree in a technical field or Process Control.
  • Five or more years of maintenance experience may substitute for post-secondary education but must include experience in a maintenance craft, or as a maintenance coordinator, supervisor, planner, or engineer in an industrial setting.
