Job summary

CV Consulting Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Planner / Stores Coordinator to join our engineering team. The role focuses on developing and managing the preventative maintenance plan and supporting the stores function for critical spares and parts, ensuring timely availability.

You will work with the engineering team using our Stores Management and Asset Master system to manage parts, assets, maintenance requirements and data. KPIs and daily 08:00 updates are required.

Maintenance Planner / Stores Coordinator

Salary: 40 - 47k

Location: Commutable from Milton keynes , Woburn sands, Woburn , Leighton buzzard, Aylesbury , dunstable

We are now looking to recruit a Maintenance Planner / Stores Coordinator to join our engineering team. The role will be responsible for developing and managing the preventative maintenance plan, while also supporting the stores function to ensure critical spares and parts are available and ordered in a timely manner.

The successful candidate will work closely with the engineering team and use our bespoke Stores Management and Asset Master system to manage parts, assets, maintenance requirements and data. You will work to agreed KPIs and be responsible for providing daily updates and information to the team at 08:00 each morning.

The role will include:

• Planning and coordinating preventative maintenance
• Managing engineering stores, spares and stock
• Booking parts in and out of the stores
• Ordering parts and progressing/chasing outstanding orders
• Working with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries
• Negotiating prices and challenging supplier quotations to ensure we achieve the best possible value
• Monitoring supplier pricing and looking for cost-saving opportunities
• Maintaining accurate systems, records and KPI data
• Working closely with engineers to ensure they have the parts and materials required to complete planned and reactive work

This role could suit an experienced engineer looking to take their career in a different direction, particularly someone interested in developing into maintenance planning, stores, purchasing or materials management.

An engineering background would be a real advantage, as the successful candidate will need to understand the practical requirements of the maintenance team. However, this is not a purely desk-based planning role you will still need to be comfortable getting involved in the stores, handling parts, supporting engineers and dealing with the day-to-day practical requirements of the site.

Good computer literacy is essential. Experience with Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, maintenance systems, dashboards and data would be highly beneficial.

The working hours will be 07:00-15:00, with overtime available when required. This is a days-based role with no shift premium.

Salary will be dependent on the candidate's experience, skills and overall suitability for the position.
