Maintenance Planner Scheduler

• Mars UK, Slough, SL1 4LG
• Salary: £45,000– £50,000
• Performance related company bonus
• Hours: Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours
• Permanent position

Job Purpose

We’re looking for a Maintenance Planner who can translate a maintenance schedule into reality by managing resources and stakeholders to maximize available time on production equipment. The planner will also scope and manage non-routine works, including contractor management, safe job practices, and handover to operations.

What are we looking for?

• Previous technical background as a technician or engineer

• Experienced PC user (SAP, Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint), production planning systems

• Experience in manufacturing environment, including planning and scheduling (desirable)

• Electrical background (beneficial)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage scheduling of planned maintenance to optimize production downtime

• Convert maintenance requests into actionable work orders, determine resource needs, and set up technicians for success

• Manage the backlog of work orders for your production area

• Coordinate with contractors and ensure outsourced maintenance is executed to best practices, managing onsite contractors effectively

• Collaborate with operations and other planners to prioritize tasks effectively
