An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Planner on our Manufacturing Site in Runcorn. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Maintenance / CE Engineering Manager where the successful candidate will have responsibility for coordinating and directing maintenance resources, activities, and control materials on a day-to-day basis to ensure that engineering maintenance is carried out safely and effectively.

The Runcorn Vynova Asset is currently undergoing a major investment programme, with the new plant currently undergoing commissioning. This is an excellent time to join our dynamic team as there will be substantial responsibility from day 1 as you will help drive the asset through this critical period.

Responsibilities include:

Technical:

  • To own the CMMS system and ensure all data is kept up to date from a day-to-day operational perspective.
  • Update and implement job plans and PMs.
  • Work with Engineering/Projects to ensure the CMMS data is updated accordingly in line with new projects.
  • Plan all non-breakdown maintenance activities to ensure method, materials, and resource requirements are identified.
  • To routinely monitor overall standards of performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Agree scopes of work with external contractors to liquidate planned maintenance activities.
  • Work with Stores to ensure spares are in place to support planned work.
  • Supervise external vendors to ensure work scopes are completed safely and efficiently.
  • To ensure the most efficient use of resources in accordance with the maintenance planned/preventative work and production requirements.
  • Develop and publish a 2-week maintenance plan with support from Maintenance Coordinators.
  • Develop and support shutdown maintenance plan.
  • KPI Reporting: Schedule compliance, Reactive work vs planned work, and monthly PMs due vs completed PMs in the month.
  • To undertake other duties as may be required.
  • Identify improvements to CMMS.
  • Participate in critical spares identification process.
  • To exercise autonomy and judgment.
  • To monitor and control costs within approved limits.
  • To ensure the efficient use of Contractors’ labour resources to assist in the reduction of overall contractors’ costs.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Proactive and team player.
  • External Contractor Interface with various trades.
  • Acts as a bridge between maintenance and process teams.
  • Standards support for Maintenance Superintendent.
  • ONC or NVQ L3 time served trades.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance/engineering activities.
  • Experience of engineering maintenance planning systems, SAP, and Microsoft IT packages.
