Job summary

Enable is looking for a Maintenance Person to join the Devonshire Avenue Complex Care Home in Nottingham. You will maintain the building and grounds to health and safety standards, and undertake repairs such as painting, decorating, plastering and door/window fixes.

The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with overtime opportunities and access to fully funded training up to QCF level 5, a pension, and other staff benefits.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 12 months right to work.
  • Available to work 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of the building and grounds in line with health and safety requirements.
  • Carry out repairs including painting, decorating, plastering, and repairs to doors and windows.
  • Refer complex repairs to head office if not resolvable internally.
  • Ensure safety and record work in line with regulatory requirements.

What is required from you?

  • Available to work 40 hours per week
A day in the life of a Maintenance Person
  • You will be responsible for the maintenance of the building and grounds in line with health and safety requirements
  • You will assess and undertake repairs including painting and decorating, grounds maintenance, plastering, repairing doors and windows.
  • If work cannot be completed internally, you will liaise with our head office team to refer the repair to a contractor.
  • Safety is paramount, so you will ensure that the care home is safe for all of our residents.
  • You will ensure that work is completed and recorded in line with legislative and regulatory requirements.
