Job summary

Avon Search & Selection is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Person in Brixham to help keep a residential care home safe, comfortable and well maintained for residents. The role is around 25 hours per week with a pay of £13.56–£14.31 per hour.

You will carry out general repairs, painting and decorating, basic plumbing and plastering, and basic electrical work if qualified, plus drainage, garden work and testing of alarms. No sponsorship is available.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in a similar role.
• Good DIY and practical problem-solving skills.
• Reliable, organized and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs and routine maintenance.
• Undertake painting, decorating, basic plumbing and plastering.
• Complete basic electrical maintenance where suitably qualified.
• Clear drains and carry out gardening and external maintenance.
• Test fire alarms and emergency lighting as required.

Our Client's residential care home in Brixham, is looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Person to help keep the home safe, comfortable and well maintained for residents.

The Role
