Job summary

Avon Search in Brixham is seeking a reliable Maintenance Person to keep a residential care home safe, comfortable and well maintained for residents. The role involves hands-on repairs, painting, basic plumbing and plastering, plus basic electrical work where qualified.

You will carry out routine maintenance, test safety systems, and report issues promptly. The ideal candidate has strong DIY skills, some carpentry/painting experience, and the ability to work independently in a small team.

Qualifications

• Good general DIY and practical problem-solving skills.
• Experience in basic carpentry, painting and decorating.
• Ideally, around two years’ experience in a similar role.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

Our Client’s residential care home in Brixham, is looking for a reliable, hands‑on Maintenance Person to help keep the home safe, comfortable and well maintained for residents.
