Job summary

Meallmore Ltd in Ayr is seeking a Maintenance Person to join our care home team. You will perform general maintenance across electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks, keep accurate records, and support a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.

The role requires self-motivation, good time management, and clear communication. You’ll work at Greenan Manor and contribute to keeping facilities well-maintained and compliant with required standards.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to manage own time.
• Willingness to learn the tasks required to do the job safely.

Responsibilities

• Handle general maintenance work and record-keeping within the care home.
• Ensure all compliance and mandatory checks are completed and recorded on time.
• Prioritise a safe environment for residents and colleagues.
• Maintain all equipment used by staff and residents to the required standard.
• Keep garden areas, driveways and paths tidy and welcoming at all times.
• Follow purchasing routines to ensure smooth and safe operations.

Maintenance Person

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £13.86per hour+ competitive benefits + overtime rates

Role & Responsibilities

• Swiftly and efficiently handle any general maintenance work and record-keeping within the care home.
• Guarantee all Compliance and Mandatory checks are completed and recorded within the designated timeframe.
• Prioritise a safe environment for all our residents and colleagues.
• Maintain all equipment utilised by employees and residents to the highest standard, ensuring it's always ready for use.
• Keep garden areas, driveways, and paths tidy and welcoming at all times.
• Follow all purchasing routines as outlined by Meallmore Ltd. We're here to ensure everything runs smoothly and safely for you.
