The NHS is seeking a maintenance support professional to ensure high standards in building services across NHS properties. The role involves compliance with health and safety policies, undertaking maintenance tasks, and assisting in minor capital works, contributing to a safe environment for all.
The key function is to support NHS Property Services in delivering building services maintenance and repairs across the NHS to ensure buildings are maintained to the highest standards and to provide a safe and secure environment for visitors, customers, and employees.
Ensure compliance with all processes, procedures, and policies that meet organisational standards/requirements, including but not limited to our Health & Safety Policy, HTMs (Health Technical Memoranda), and SFG20. Undertake routine planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the Team Leader, maintaining operational standards at all times. Support minor work tasks such as joinery, painting, decoration, general building works, ground works, or plumbing. Maintain effective site log books at NHS premises, ensuring they are completed accurately and timely. Support the Projects/Construction team and Team Leader in delivering minor capital works. Complete risk assessments prior to works and undertake tasks as per instructions within relevant permits or work plans.
