Job summary

National Care Group is seeking a Maintenance Operative to join the team at Abbeyvale Care Centre in Blackhall Colliery, Hartlepool. You will promote health and safety standards, maintain a safe living environment for residents and staff, and perform general maintenance tasks to support daily operations.

The role involves minor repairs, workload prioritisation, and coordinating with occupiers to minimise disruption while upholding quality and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Undertake general facilities support tasks, including furniture building and furniture removals, grounds and site clearance, and keeping areas clean and tidy generally.
• Complete minor repairs.
• Manage and prioritise own workload in order to complete repairs in a timely manner and in accordance with KPI/SLA timescales.
• Communicate effectively with building occupiers to minimise inconvenience when planning and undertaking building maintenance.
• Carry out such other maintenance duties as required or delegated by the Maintenance Team Leader or Operational teams.
• Ensuring that quality standards are met regarding all compliance, planned and preventative maintenance records.
• Ensure our services remain an environmentally safe place to live for the people we support.
• Ensure National Care Group’s vision and values are always adhered to.
