Job description

We have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Operative. This role is based in London at the Lister Primary Care Centre.

Salary: Starting from £28,000 (depending on experience) plus on-call allowance.

Role Details: Mobile position covering the South East London area. Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm.

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent formal apprenticeship or craft training.
• Driving licence is essential.
• Comfortable using technological devices to log jobs.
• On-Call availability.
• Industry experience is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with other technical disciplines.

Additional Information: DBS Checks & DVLA checks are required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with NHSPS Health, Safety & Wellbeing Policies, technical guidance, and statutory regulations.
• Deliver scheduled, reactive, and remedial maintenance services as directed, maintaining operational standards.
• Support minor works activities and undertake routine repairs including joinery, painting, general building works, ground works, and plumbing.
• Maintain accurate site logbooks.
• Assist in delivering minor capital works and support project teams.
• Conduct risk assessments and work within relevant permits or work plans.
• Perform other operative tasks including basic fabric, electrical, and general operative duties.
• On-Call allowance (rota dependent), company van and tools provided, 27 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension plan with company contributions, and training opportunities.
