Job summary

Bedruthan & Scarlet Hotels in Newquay is seeking a Maintenance Operative (Compliance Assistant) to keep guest rooms, spa and facilities safe and running smoothly, with a hands-on approach.

You will work alongside the Hotel Property Manager, gaining experience in facilities management, compliance, planned maintenance and contractor management.

This permanent, full-time role offers £14 per hour plus a share of hotel tips, 28 days' holiday and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, property, building services or a relevant trade.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Hands-on, practical problem solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections, reactive repairs and planned maintenance.
• Raise and monitor work orders and coordinate contractors and suppliers.
• Maintain accurate records and respond to maintenance requests from guests and colleagues.
