Job summary

Lucy Cavendish College is seeking a Maintenance Operative to join our small maintenance team in Cambridge. You will provide day-to-day support, carrying out routine and emergency maintenance, repair and refurbishment work to College buildings and grounds to the highest standards.

You will perform planned checks, follow health and safety rules, and work both independently and as part of a team. A full driving licence is required for van use.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance and fault finding.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to the maintenance team.
• Carry out routine and emergency building maintenance, repair and refurbishment work to College buildings and grounds.
• Be aware of health and safety rules applying to plant, machinery and tools used to ensure safe working practices.
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance checks.
• Be comfortable with manual work, lifting and carrying.
• Hold a full driving licence to enable use of the College van to offsite properties.
