Job summary

Persimmon Homes in Warrington is seeking a Maintenance Operative to perform high-quality remedial and maintenance work for new homes, ensuring excellent customer experience. You will manage workloads, liaise with subcontractors, and maintain records while following company policies and safety guidelines.

The role emphasizes preventative care, cost control, and accurate reporting via the Operative App, with opportunities to advance within a growing housebuilder known for quality and diversity

Qualifications

• Competent in homeowner maintenance including machines and tools.
• Painting and Joinery experience required.
• CSCS Card required.
• Microsoft Office familiarity.
• PASMA certificate advantageous; First Aid qualification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise and manage workloads to complete high-quality remedial works on schedule.
• Deliver remedial works compliant with Persimmon policies and procedures.
• Minimise costs and document sign-off/cost recording; identify contra-charging opportunities.
• Complete online reporting via the Operative App for defect tracking and resolution.
• Liaise with subcontractors to inspect defects and report details to customers and Care Coordinators.
• Adhere to HS&E policy and ensure compliance across the team.

What is the role?

The purpose of the role is to provide a variety of high-quality remedial and maintenance works for customers in their new homes, providing maintaining high standards of customer experience.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritise workloads in order to complete high-quality remedial works in a timely manner and in accordance with set SLA's.
• Provide quality remedial works, ensuring compliance under the Persimmon Pledge and Customer Care Policies and Procedures.
• Minimise costs associated with remedial works and adhere to the sign-off and cost recording policies, identify all contra-charging opportunities.
• Complete all required online reporting via the Operative App, facilitating accurate record keeping of defect resolution and root cause analysis.
• Liaise with and monitor subcontractors where appropriate, to complete inspections of reported defects, providing full details of agreed works to both the customer and the Customer Care Co-ordinators.
• Comply with responsibilities as defined in the Group's HS&E Policy and ensure compliance throughout team

What experience do I need?

• Ability to be competent in all aspects of homeowner maintenance, including maintenance of machines and tools
• Painting and Joinery experience is required
• PASMA certificate is advantageous
• Conversant with Microsoft Office
• Current CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
• First Aid qualification would be advantageous
