Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Operative to join our community hub team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the organisation's core operations and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services.

Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out all aspects of repair and maintenance work within the region/services assigned to you.
  2. Repair services to include plumbing, carpentry, fixing broken furniture/walls, gardening, and overseeing other works that require attention.
  3. Identify scope of gardening works with the Deputy Estates Manager.
  4. Ensure that working areas are left clean and tidy.
  5. Undertake basic administration tasks related to this work and support fellow team members and the Coordinator as team leader.
  6. Utilise the maintenance portal for all works undertaken, keeping it up to date, and provide feedback to the Coordinator.
  7. Promote high standards in the environment for the people we support through professional practice and respectful working in people's homes.

Requirements:

  • A full (clean) driving licence and access to a car.
  • Willingness to travel and work unsociable hours if required.
  • Self-motivated and a team player.
  • Excellent time management, administrative, and organisational skills.
  • Ethical and professional behaviour.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take on new tasks.
  • Ability to use initiative and work with conflicting deadlines.
