The Triangle Care Home is a small and friendly purpose-built nursing home offering a spacious and comfortable environment with 24-hour care and support for older adults.

We are seeking an experienced maintenance operative to join our team!

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the building and equipment
• Carrying out routine checks weekly, monthly, and annually on systems in the home, ensuring external checks (e.g., LOLER testing) are completed within the agreed timeframe
• Monitoring and responding to fire alarm calls, boilers, and lifts
• Making effective and efficient use of resources for maintenance or repairs
• Conducting banking and purchasing of small items for the home
• Maintaining the building, grounds, and equipment to ensure the safety of residents, staff, and visitors, including decoration, minor plumbing, and garden maintenance
• Maintaining good communication and relationships with other teams and colleagues
• Awareness and adherence to the Home's policies and procedures, especially fire safety
• Participating in training and development activities
• Assisting in the induction of new staff, training them on building layout and fire procedures
• Maintaining confidentiality of clients and business information
• Controlling stock and managing deliveries
• Being aware of health and safety requirements
• Communicating effectively within teams and with residents
• Performing any additional duties as required
• Undertaking relevant training to enhance contribution to the home
• Reviewing and updating the job description regularly
