Maintenance Operative needed in Newport, Isle Of Wight, £16.80ph

PAYE – Reference: OR7075

Job Context:

1. The driving of a 4×4 vehicle in accordance with current driving test standards and to hold a current full ordinary driving licence.
2. To operate and carry out daily maintenance of grass/hedge cutting machinery and all hand tools and to hold any necessary licences in respect of the same.
3. The cutting back and clearing of hedges and rough verges.
4. The felling of small trees, tree branches and sawing through and removing sections of fallen trees.
5. The installation/fitting of public rights of way posts and signage.
6. The installation and maintenance of stiles, gates, bridges, steps and all types of fencing.
7. The construction and maintenance of paths and drainage systems.
8. To carry out general ditching and site clearance operations.
9. To carry out snow clearance operations and assist with clearing up duties in the event of storm damage or flooding.
10. To carry out the daily maintenance and basic checks of Rights of Way vehicles and all plant/machinery, e.g., checking oil, water, tyres, lights, etc.

This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
