Maintenance Operative - must hold full UK driving licence

Your role

We are looking for a candidate who possesses excellent maintenance skills, who can work independently and has a ‘can do’ attitude to work and able to work well with other members of our maintenance team. This position would suit a multi-skilled person with excellent communication skills. Crucial for this role is to be able to confidently work on IT systems such as using an electronic diary and in-house maintenance systems (training to be provided).

  1. Provide a comprehensive maintenance & repair service to the tenants and landlords of the X1 properties. Work closely with our Property Managers to resolve reported issues inside the apartments in a timely manner.
  2. Skilled at DIY & general maintenance for example; tiling, basic plumbing, joinery, painting and decorating, basic electrical works.
  3. Comply with safe working practices & report faulty equipment and potential hazards.
  4. Liaising with property managers daily to ensure that all scheduled jobs are completed and the property managers are provided with regular updates.
  5. Using in-house systems.
  6. Keep an inventory and monthly audit of all maintenance tools and equipment.
  7. Communicate with clients in a professional manner and ensuring maintenance cards are left after every job attended to.

Key skills
  1. Previous experience in a similar role.
  2. An ability to use initiative to achieve pro-active site maintenance.
  3. Building maintenance skills - painting, decorating, joinery and plumbing.
  4. Good interpersonal/communication skills as this will be a tenant-facing role.
  5. Carry out works in an efficient and safe manner.
  6. Ability to work to deadlines.
  7. Good organisational skills.
  8. Work well as part of a team.
  9. Must have a full clean driving licence.

Department: Property Management

Salary: Dependent on experience and skillset, van to be provided after 6 months in role

Location: Liverpool

Contract type: Permanent, full time

Hours: 9.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Thursday, 9.30am - 4.30pm Friday
