A leading company is seeking a Maintenance Operative to ensure repairs and installations meet standards across Birmingham. This role requires previous maintenance experience and a full UK driving licence. The position includes flexible working hours and on-call duties.

Here at Serco, we work with Asylum Accommodation and Support Services to assist individuals through the asylum system, which includes providing them with temporary accommodation.
As the Maintenance Operative, your role is key in ensuring all requested repairs, whether reactive, proactive, or pre-planned (via the manager), are carried out to the required standard and within SLA deadlines. You will be required to fit fire doors and frames, complete fitted kitchens, and install bathrooms including all plumbing and pipework.
This is an exciting opportunity covering Birmingham for an individual with previous maintenance experience in fields such as joinery, fitting, plumbing, painting & decorating. You will be a highly motivated individual capable of managing your workflow independently as well as working within a team.
As a Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for the health and safety of yourself and all users of the property during and after works.
Part of your role involves purchasing and managing materials using a company account card from approved Serco suppliers only. Vehicles provided by the company will be inspected regularly and kept in a professional, clean condition.
