Job summary

NHS Property Services in Bath is seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative (Plumbing) to deliver reactive and planned plumbing maintenance across our healthcare estate. You will work primarily at the Bath site with travel to other NHS sites within the region, using your skills to keep facilities safe and compliant.

The role requires a minimum NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and a full driving licence. The position offers 37.5 hours, an on-call rota, training opportunities, and a competitive salary with

Responsibilities

• Deliver a full plumbing maintenance service within NHS Property Services premises.
• Undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
• Respond to reactive plumbing repairs as required.
• Support with general fabric maintenance tasks (minor repairs, fixtures, fittings).
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, statutory requirements, and internal procedures.
• Participate in the on-call rota and work with the wider Estates & Facilities team.

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Operative (Plumbing) to join our team, primarily based out of our Bath site, with travel across multiple sites covering Bath & North East Somerset

• Salary starting from £31,000 per annum
• 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00
• Standard DBS is required
• Full driving licence required (mobile role)
• On call allowance + Van and tools provided.
• Permanent contract

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality reactive and planned maintenance across a healthcare estate.

Key Responsibilities

• This role will deliver a full plumbing maintenance service within NHS Property Services premises, including:
• Undertaking Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
• Responding to reactive plumbing repairs as required
• Support with general fabric maintenance tasks (e.g. minor repairs, fixtures, fittings)
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety, statutory requirements, and internal procedures
• Participate in the on-call rota
• Working collaboratively with the wider Estates & Facilities team

What We’re Looking For
