Maintenance Officer
We are looking for a Maintenance Officer to join the Estates team to deliver a range of day-to-day tasks and programmed maintenance jobs at all sites.
Position: Maintenance Officer
Location: Swindon, with some travel to London and Bala (Wales) offices
Hours: Part-time – 22.5 hours per week
Salary: £25,100 pro rata (£15,060 per annum actual)
Contract: Permanent

Interview Dates: First round online on 16 June 2025; second round in person at Swindon office on 23 June 2025
You will oversee specialist maintenance companies, monitor their performance, and ensure health and safety compliance on site. You will also monitor and record workplace safety, including portable appliance testing, slip and trip hazards, and fire risks.
You will primarily work at the Swindon office but will need to travel to London and Bala offices as required—approximately once a month to London and bi-monthly to Bala.
You should have the ability to travel to all sites, with attention to detail and good problem-solving skills. You will have a solid working knowledge of general maintenance, including health and safety regulations such as Manual Handling, COSHH, LOLER, and PUWER. Experience with security procedures, utilities management, and DIY tasks like grounds maintenance, carpentry, painting, and decorating is essential.
You should be competent in safely using related tools, capable of fixing minor defects, and willing to develop skills such as PAT testing or forklift operation. Please provide your CV and a 250-word statement explaining your interest and suitability for this role.
