Established just three years ago, we have rapidly expanded to 15 services across England, with ambitious plans for further growth.

We take pride in our ability to provide expert care for residents whose needs may exceed the capabilities of traditional care homes. In line with this commitment, we are proud to introduce the Oaklea Complex Care Unit within Ashlea Court Care Home, a pioneering 26-bed specialist unit designed to deliver high-quality care for individuals with complex conditions, including dementia. As the first of its kind, this unit represents our dedication to innovation and excellence in specialist healthcare.

As aMaintenance Officer you will play a key role in ensuring that the building and equipment are always kept to the highest standards, providing a safe and comfortable place for everyone. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on professional who takes pride in their work and enjoys solving challenges.

What You Will Do:

  • Hands-On Repairs: Take care of minor repairs across the facility to ensure everything runs smoothly and reliably.
  • Electrical Inspections: Perform regular checks on control panels and wiring to identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Installation Tasks: Oversee the installation of new appliances and equipment, ensuring everything is working properly.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Keep outdoor areas tidy by mowing lawns, collecting trash, and maintaining the yard.
  • Routine Maintenance: Handle everyday maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, ensuring the facility remains in top condition.
  • Equipment Care: Maintain and properly store all tools and machinery, ensuring everything is ready for use when needed.
  • Safety Checks: Regularly test safety systems, such as fire alarms, to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Building Inspections: Inspect and repair any building damages, ensuring surfaces are maintained and functional.
  • Project Involvement: Participate in renovation and improvement projects to continually enhance the facility.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with the facilities team to address larger issues and ensure ongoing maintenance needs are met.
  • Quality and Safety Standards: Adhere to strict quality, health, and safety standards in all maintenance activities.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Proactive and Detail-Oriented: You are someone who takes pride in ensuring everything works as it should, no matter how big or small the task.
  • Flexible and Responsive: You will need to be available for occasional evening and weekend work as well as on-call duties.
  • Maintenance Experience: You should have experience in facility or building maintenance, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership: The ability to manage and prioritise tasks while working with other teams is essential.
  • Health and Safety Knowledge: Understanding and adhering to safety and regulatory standards is key.
