Windsor Park village is perfectly positioned in the leafy Geelong suburb of St Albans Park, surrounded by landscaped gardens and resort-style amenities.

We are seeking an energetic, committed and customer-oriented Maintenance Officer to become an integral part of our team on a part-time basis, working 2 shifts per week (15 hours), preferably on a Mondays and Fridays, though there is some flexibility with the days.

As a Maintenance Officer, your duties will include:

1. Ensure maintenance and repairs of common property including grounds, facilities and gardens, as required.
2. Perform basic handyperson tasks including cleaning, painting, lighting maintenance, TV installations, hanging paintings, clearing gutters, disposal of rubbish, checking and maintaining air conditioning, tiling, basic plumbing, furniture removal, and general repairs.
3. Ensure planned maintenance of village assets is executed in accordance with the maintenance plan and legislative requirements.
4. Undertake reactive maintenance on village assets and resident assets as requested.
5. Support residents with maintenance in their unit in line with Keyton procedure.
6. Ensure that all maintenance activity is conducted to Keyton and Resident Committee standards.
7. Escalate maintenance issues to Village Manager, as appropriate.
8. Ensure all maintenance activity complies with relevant legislation and trade qualifications.
9. Utilise Keyton preferred suppliers where relevant and ensure all works are conducted within budget and procedure.
10. Driving a 12-seater van/people mover, as required.

Who You Are

To be successful in your application, you must have:

1. Experience in General Maintenance works as a maintenance person, tradesperson or handyperson.
2. An understanding of machinery use and tools required for various repairs.
3. Be organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise tasks.
4. Proficient in using a mobile phone. Maintenance requests will be received and sent via a mobile app.
5. Have a customer-focused approach to all tasks, whilst having the ability to develop strong and positive relationships.
6. The ability to take initiative and be pro-active.
7. The ability to work individually and in a team.
8. Current Australian Driver’s license, with good driving record.
9. A current First Aid Certificate/ CPR (or be willing to obtain one).
