The Role
As a maintenance engineer, you will be an integral member of the repairs and planned preventative maintenance service, working directly with the head of maintenance to ensure repairs are carried out effectively and efficiently.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Taking instructions from the maintenance department regarding the daily schedule of jobs
- Attending units to carry out proactive and reactive maintenance repairs
- Completing jobs in accordance with service level agreements
- Registering job progress reports and completing job reports
- Accurate collation of data for each job (photos/videos)
- Monitoring planned maintenance and breakdown activities; logging and escalating delays to the maintenance service team
- Prioritising scheduled work
- Maintaining material and supply stock levels within your vehicle
- Providing high levels of customer service to achieve customer satisfaction, handling complaints with empathy and professionalism
- Performing other relevant duties as requested by other departments
- Updating information on the PDA system
- Complying with Stef & Philips policies and carrying out any reasonably required duties
Skills & Knowledge
- Experience working in temporary and emergency accommodation
- Substantial experience in multi-skilled trade repairs and maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, and plastering
- Experience managing vulnerable individuals and HMO properties
- Full clean driver’s license
- An enhanced DBS / Police check will be completed
- Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure
- Close attention to detail
- Strong administrative skills
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to meet varying demands of the role to achieve outcomes
