Gartnavel Royal Hospital/HSCP Estates Department is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, resilient, and hardworking Maintenance Multi Skilled Electrical Technician to join our team. The role involves maintaining a wide range of building services plant and equipment, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of systems.
The successful candidate will deliver electrical services that support NHS GG&C Health Board's needs, ensuring safe patient care and a high-quality, cost-effective maintenance, repair, and installation service. Responsibilities include inspecting faults, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, adhering to health and safety policies, undertaking minor alterations, and testing electrical circuits according to regulations.
Work hours are Monday to Thursday, 08:00-16:00, and Friday, 08:00-15:30, with participation in on-call duties for emergency repairs outside normal hours. Candidates should possess a recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification, extensive relevant experience, and a relevant qualification such as an HNC or equivalent. Training will be provided to certify as a Competent Person as required.
