Job summary

Proman Recruitment is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanical Engineer to join a busy site in West Birmingham (B66). This temporary contract offers an immediate start with a pay rate of £15.00 per hour PAYE and a 7:30am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday schedule.

The role requires a recognised mechanical apprenticeship, 3+ years of post-apprenticeship maintenance experience, and a full UK driving licence. Work will be within a healthcare setting on a temporary NHS environment contract.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline (City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years' post-apprenticeship maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services and plant maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance.
• Maintain and repair mechanical plant and building services equipment.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations.
• Support the smooth operation of site facilities and services.
