Job summary:

The Maintenance Mechanic is to provide support for Production and Quality Control by repairing and adjusting production machinery to ensure minimum machine down time and product loss. This requires knowledge of, or ability to learn, a wide array of mechanical and electrical skills. Responsible for repairs and troubleshooting of the various machine tools, including CNC controls. This position will also be responsible for

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of site equipment and production equipment

Perform preventative maintenance of equipment

Completion of associated maintenance paperwork, including equipment maintenance records, drawing and schematic changes as necessary.

Support, as requested, root cause incident investigation, mitigation, and prevention programs

Required Minimum Qualifications

Education/Certifications:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in equipment repair and maintenance.

Two year vocational training and certification is a plus

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience

Skills and Experience:

Knowledge of, or ability to learn, a wide array of mechanical and electrical skills.

Understanding of electrical controls, machines and mechanical applications

Determining root causes and associated corrective action or adjustment on production equipment

Hydraulics, Power transmission, basic electrical control circuits, CNC repairs, knowledge of Fanuc controls, knowledge of servo drives & motors, lubrication and preventative maintenance, tool and fixture making, engine repair, DC control circuits, pneumatics, wiring and associated insulation

Ability to read and comprehend mechanical and electrical schematic drawings and diagrams.
