Pro-Pak Foods in Malton (North Yorkshire) is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the Engineering team on a Monday–Friday, site-based role with a salary of £60,000. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will drive daily maintenance, safety and reliability across the Malton site.

You will champion Health & Safety, develop the team, implement Lean and continuous improvement, and manage contractors. Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and CMMS experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Provide leadership to the Engineering team and drive maintenance strategy.
• Champion Health & Safety across the site and ensure safe working practices.
• Develop proactive maintenance plans and KPI-driven improvements.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain engineering documentation.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced food environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, engage, coach and develop the Engineering team
• Set clear objectives and provide regular feedback
• Build capability and confirm competency across the team
• Coach colleagues in Lean principles, problem-solving and continuous improvement
• Develop proactive improvement plans against key KPIs
• Establish and communicate an Engineering strategy aligned with business objectives
• Oversee fault diagnostics, breakdown response and planned maintenance
• Ensure PPM is completed in partnership with Operations
• Work with Operations to support production start-up requirements
• Manage and control contractors on-site
• Maintain accurate engineering records and reporting
• Drive equipment reliability and continuous improvement
• Support site audit processes and compliance with policies
