Maintenance Manager - Gas and Electrical Compliance

Hybrid working, from our office in Maryport, from home and leading our teams across the North Lakes, Cumbria

Permanent, Full Time (37.5hpw)

Salary c£55,000 per annum plus great benefits including health cash plan

Join us at this exciting time of operational growth and change as Maintenance Manager for Gas and Electrical compliance for the North-West. You'll lead and schedule our programmes of work, managing our inhouse teams as well as contractors to deliver high quality and compliant homes for our customers, delivering on our customer promise. Key priorities as Maintenance Manager
  1. Gas and Electrical Compliance
  2. Developing and leading our Gas and Electrical teams to deliver right first-time, high-quality servicing, repairs and installations on our properties (responsive and voids).
  3. Managing teams, subcontractor and supplier performance, delivering against legislative requirements, KPIs and ensuring commercially driven and compliant services.
  4. As responsible person, ensuring duty holders fulfil their duties with Gas Safe and Electrical registrations and legislation.
  5. Providing accurate forecasting and budgetary control to ensure your team are working commercially and have a genuine understanding of how they provide cost effective and value for money services.
  6. Data management, reporting and using your creative spark (alongside your team) to drive service innovation and continuous improvement.

You have
  • Extensive experience in both gas and electrical compliance, working within a housing and maintenance environment.
  • Experience of keeping programmes of work on track, to time and budget through collaboration and communication. You can interpret and challenge contracts, use data and insights to identify trends and drive performance.
  • Operational experience in managing internal teams and subcontractors.
  • A relevant qualification in an electrical or gas discipline, with in-depth knowledge of gas and electrical safety and compliance works. Also, a relevant Health and Safety qualification with experience managing the health and safety of teams and subcontractors, including CDM regulations and all related compliance regulations.
  • Track record of maintaining budgets, analyzing trends, providing value for money, and demonstrating commercial acumen.

Job details
  • Full time, 37.5 hpw Monday to Friday, flexible working hours.
  • Hybrid working, from home and our office in Maryport, supporting teams across Copeland and Allendale.
  • Use technology for monitoring progress, budget management, and maintaining compliance records. Equipment provided includes a Surface Pro and mobile.
  • Must have a full current driving license and access to a vehicle. Mileage paid.
  • Basic DBS Check required, paid for by us.
