Job summary

Active Care Group in the UK is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the upkeep of our Kent centre and 12 acre site. The role covers painting, repairs, safety testing, and managing a small maintenance team to ensure a safe, accessible environment for patients, residents, visitors and staff.

You will work full time, 37.5 hours per week, with early or late shifts and a focus on regulatory compliance, cost efficiency and high standards of service delivery.

Qualifications

• At least one year of building maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrician experience is preferred.
• Certification in building maintenance is a plus.
• Willingness to travel or work across site as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and inspect the building, including fixtures, fittings and furniture.
• Test safety systems: Fire Detection, Emergency Lighting and Exits.
• Oversee gas/electric/water/sewage systems and conduct safety audits.
• Line-manage the maintenance team and ensure timely, safe task completion.
• Ensure a safe, accessible environment for patients, residents, visitors and staff.
