Hewett Recruitment is partnering with a leading Worcester-based manufacturer to recruit a Maintenance Manager. The role oversees site engineering operations, guides a high-performing team and drives reliability, efficiency and OEE improvements across the facility.

The successful candidate will lead maintenance strategy, manage budgets and spares, ensure statutory inspections are completed safely, and support capital projects within a global manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering qualification (HNC/HND or equivalent).
• Experience leading engineering or maintenance teams within manufacturing.
• Strong people management, planning and organisational skills.
• Financial awareness and budget management experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the engineering team to achieve site performance objectives.
• Drive maintenance strategy, reliability improvements and equipment effectiveness.
• Manage engineering budgets, maintenance spend and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure all statutory inspections and maintenance activities are completed safely and on time.
• Support capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
• Utilise CMMS and maintenance systems to develop planned maintenance strategies.
• Work closely with operational teams to deliver OEE improvements and support future growth plans.

The Role

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience leading engineering or maintenance teams within manufacturing.
• Strong people management, planning and organisational skills.
• Financial awareness and budget management experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

• Degree qualified in Engineering.
• Experience using SAP or CMMS systems.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience supporting capital investment projects.
