Company Description

  • Oversees day-to-day operations of the department, including repairs, alterations, and installation of work.
  • Leads the Maintenance function, providing reactive and proactive multi-skilled services on all operational equipment and hotel infrastructure.
  • Responsible for creating and overseeing planned schedules, ensuring timely completion of work.
  • Enhances site operational effectiveness, improves project delivery, and reduces equipment failure and room downtime.
  • Manages and implements improvement plans, driving KPIs while ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Guides teams on technical best practices, establishes standard policies and procedures, and mentors direct reports.
  • Identifies potential lifecycle deficiencies and produces capital budgets aligned with lifecycle expectations.

Implements and manages continuous improvement initiatives for maintenance services, recommending changes as necessary.

Job Description

  • Main Responsibilities
  • Implements best practice maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance operational performance, focusing on sustainable maintenance and energy reduction.
  • Contributes to new business initiatives and projects, assessing their impact on maintenance activities.
  • Provides shift coverage, including duty manager responsibilities.
  • Develops and enforces preventative maintenance programs to ensure quality of FF&E and plant equipment.
  • Controls invoices and manages external provider costs.
  • Collaborates with GMs to develop maintenance budgets and ensures compliance within their hotels.
  • Completes monthly energy reports and records.
  • Compliance
  • Ensures adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies to safeguard staff and guests.
  • Inspects work to meet standards and performance targets, taking corrective actions as directed.
  • Conducts risk assessments of processes and tasks within hotel responsibilities.
  • Project Management
  • Plans, manages, and coordinates projects and maintenance works, including budgeting.
  • Prepares reports and analyses to keep management informed of project status, issues, and resolutions.
  • Delivers small-scale projects, including lifecycle works, ensuring quality and timely risk management.
  • Recruitment & Personnel
  • Recruits, supervises, and trains maintenance team members.
  • Manages, coaches, and develops a high-performing, autonomous team.
  • Provides technical support and allocates human resources across the cluster.
  • Sets objectives/KPIs, reviews performance, and reports on progress.
  • Ensures delivery of the People Strategy and conducts departmental performance reviews.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience.
  • Formal qualification in Mechanical, HVAC, or Electrical fields, or equivalent operational experience.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
  • H&S trained and capable of reading and writing risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of energy management and budget planning (CAPEX & OPEX).
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Strong administrative skills.
