Job summary

Budock Vean Hotel in Cornwall is seeking a maintenance professional to oversee the state of repair across the property, ensuring the highest standards of quality and guest comfort. You will lead a small team, coordinate routine maintenance and work with other departments to deliver a seamless guest experience.

With a calm, can-do attitude and strong practical maintenance skills, you will manage fire logs, stock control, room and public area upkeep, and garden maintenance.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in leading and developing a team.
• Calm, can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail with a practical maintenance mindset.
• Strong maintenance skills across hotel facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the state of repair across the hotel to meet high quality standards.
• Ensure regular maintenance throughout the hotel to maintain repairs.
• Ensure guests receive a warm welcome and hospitality during their stay.
• Manage stock control with the maintenance department.
• Record and maintain fire logs and room maintenance logs.
• Maintain high standards in public areas, guest rooms and grounds.
• Comply with hotel policies and collaborate with all departments.

Role & Responsibilities

• To manage the state of repair in the hotel with the support of the team to ensure it meets the highest quality standards
• To ensure that regular maintenance is carried out periodically throughout the hotel to maintain the good standard of repair.
• To ensure all of our guests receive a warm welcome and are treated to the up most hospitality and care during their stay with us – we aim to provide an unforgettable experience
• To ensure stock control with the maintenance department
• Timely completion of maintenance to ensure product quality
• Completion and maintenance of fire log book
• Record keeping of room maintenance
• Maintaining high standards of outside areas, public areas, guest bedrooms and ground maintenance
• To follow all hotel policies
• To ensure good working relationship with all other departments and communicate information throughout the hotel.
• To understand responsibilities in relation to Fire Procedures, Health and Safety, COSHH, Infection Control and Emergency Aid.
• All other duties as required
