Job summary

Abbey Hotel Bath is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the upkeep, maintenance and energy conservation across the hotel. You will supervise a team, liaise with contractors and ensure a seamless guest experience at all times.

This permanent, full-time role offers a salary of £37,000 per annum, 40 hours per week, and a broad benefits package with Marriott-affiliated Axiom Hospitality.

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager to join our Truly Talented team.

As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and management of all areas of the hotel, including energy conservation. You will use your leadership skills to inspire your team and provide a seamless guest experience every time.

Your role

The role requires someone who will be hands-on with repair and general maintenance. You will meet time deadlines, liaise with contractors and take responsibility for health and safety on the property. The right candidate, therefore, must be organised, a good communicator, and a hands-on manager.

• Highly self-motivated, confident, decisive, and able to work with limited supervision;
• Attention to the smallest details;
• Good understanding of compliance in hospitality and hotels;
• Ability to build and maintain a strong relationship with suppliers;
• Results-focused with a desire to succeed;
• Knowledge of electrics and health and safety;
• Computer literacy is also a key for the compliance and audit part of the role.

You must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from all candidates prior to commencing employment.
