Live In Maintenance / Gardener / Driver Job + part-time Housekeeper Nr Bakewell Derbyshire – £35,000+ GPA + hourly rate for Housekeeping

We are lucky to be working with a returning client who lives in a stunning location close to Bakewell in the Peak District. They are looking for a new Couple to replace their current couple who are retiring after 7 years (placed by Greycoat).

The role is for a full-time Maintenance person, Gardener, Driver and a part-time Housekeeper offering a minimum of 8 hours per week work (more if you are flexible).

Single adult household with visiting extended family. The property itself it set in a beautiful rural village location near Bakewell and there will be plenty of opportunity to enjoy the surroundings and be part of the local community.

The house itself is a period property with extensive formal gardens. Accommodation is a 1 bedroomed lodge house with its own outdoor areas and additional storage.

Duties will include:

• General property maintenance both inside and outside

• Assisting the part-time Gardener with general maintenance gardening

• Leaf clearing, jet washing, gravel raking and generally keeping outside areas tidy

• Property security

• Driving both locally and also within the UK (not London) – confident driver essential

• Car cleaning and maintenance of the household vehicles

• Log chopping and fire laying

• Running errands (including getting the morning papers from the village shop)

• Shopping

• Housekeeper for a min 8 hours per week – this will include hands on cleaning, laundry and ironing working with a long-term part-time Housekeeper

• Help with food preparation including batch cooking and basic cooking when family visit (extra hours available)

• Ideally to have a couple who are flexible and happy to help on some weekends if family are visiting (summer BBQs for example)

• House sitting

Excellent references and Enhanced DBS check required.

Hours will be full-time 40 hours per week normally Monday to Friday with flexibility on some weekends for the Maintenance person, Gardener, Driver.

Hours will be part-time min 8 hours per week over 2/3 days for the Housekeeper but with extra hours could be available if you are happy to do more cooking for example.

Accommodation is a separate 1 bed lodge house (+ box room) with its own outside area and additional storage (main bedroom, box room, large living area, kitchen and small snug area). Pets considered (one dog) but sorry no dependents. Family visitors welcome while respecting the privacy of the client. Rent free and bills paid by the employer.

Salary - £35,000+ for the full-time position and £15+ per hour for the Housekeeper.
