Job summary

Escape Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Fitter for field-based work across industrial plant and heavy equipment in Scotland. You’ll perform planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and repairs to keep pumps, gearboxes, rotating machinery and hydraulic/pneumatic systems running smoothly.

The role offers a £45,500 basic salary with overtime, 28 days’ annual leave, and a company vehicle for work duties, with training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical maintenance or heavy equipment experience.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out safe repairs.
• Experience with pumps, gearboxes, rotating machinery and fabrication useful.

Mechanical Maintenance Fitter - Field Based

£45,500 basic salary + overtime

Are you a hands‑on Mechanical Maintenance Fitter who enjoys solving mechanical problems and keeping equipment running?

We're recruiting for an experienced fitter to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across industrial plant and heavy mechanical equipment.

What we’re looking for

You’ll have practical mechanical maintenance or heavy equipment experience, a good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and the ability to diagnose faults and complete repairs safely.

Experience with pumps, gearboxes, rotating machinery and fabrication would be particularly useful.

A mechanically biased multi-skilled engineer could also be a good fit.
