Job summary

Avisford Park Hotel is seeking a proactive Maintenance Assistant to help keep the property safe, functional and welcoming for guests year-round. You will assist with routine maintenance, simple repairs and inspections, working closely with the Maintenance Manager and team to deliver high standards.

Ideal candidates have hands-on maintenance experience, good communication, and the ability to work independently while prioritising safety and guest service.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, handyman or facilities roles.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting.
• Strong problem-solving and proactive approach.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, functional and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
• Assist with routine maintenance, repairs and inspections across the hotel.
• Respond promptly to issues and outages in a hands-on manner.
• Work with the Maintenance Manager and wider team to meet high standards.
