Job summary

Pertemps Leeds is recruiting an Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary maintenance and project engineering team in a global industrial gases business. You will report to the Production Manager and drive safety, reliability and operational performance.

With salary up to £65,000 DOE plus a 9% annual bonus, 40-hour weeks, and 26 days’ holiday, the role offers significant development, training and scope to deliver tangible improvements and cost control.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree and technical expertise within a complex industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Proven people management experience, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong maintenance, engineering and project management experience.
• Experience of decommissioning would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and engineering activities to keep plant, equipment and infrastructure safe, compliant and reliable.
• Develop maintenance strategies that reduce downtime, improve efficiency and control asset lifecycle costs.
• Managing engineering improvements and capital projects, including decommissioning activities.
• Overseeing planned maintenance, statutory inspections and regulatory compliance.
• Managing budgets, engineering resources and critical spare parts.
• Driving continuous improvement and supporting the team through change.

Salary: Up to £65,000 DOE + annual bonus of 9% of salary

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday

We’re recruiting for a global leader in the industrial gases sector, offering the opportunity to lead an engineering team and make a real impact on safety, reliability and operational performance.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll manage a multidisciplinary team of supervisors, maintenance and project engineers, and a stock controller. You’ll provide clear direction, coach and develop your people, and build a collaborative team that takes pride in delivering high standards.
