Job Description:

Job Purpose

This is a key position, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across several sites.

The purpose of this role is to carry out technical repairs and PPMs. You will ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is completed and up to date at all times.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist the Depot Maintenance Technician with any major or minor maintenance work.
  • Complete the PPM and reactive maintenance schedules within agreed timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and according to procedures.
  • Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Service Desk, assessing the requirements and carrying out repairs as necessary.
  • Prioritise and complete minor maintenance and repair work within agreed timescales.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment needed for minor maintenance and repairs are available and in good condition.
  • Although aligned to one site for PPM, there may be occasions to attend other depots for work.
  • Attend training courses as necessary and comply with the company's Health and Safety policies.
  • Work with colleagues to maintain quality standards and assist city teams when requested.
  • Represent the company professionally and develop good relationships with colleagues.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with KPIs.
  • Manage costs through proper approval processes and maintain accurate timesheets.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • NVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in Building Structures/Maintenance/Engineering.
  • Full Clean UK driving license is essential.
  • Previous experience in building maintenance is essential.
  • Ability to maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Ensure quality of repairs and maintenance.
  • Respond to service requests within agreed times.
  • Complete PPM schedules within deadlines.
  • Maintain health and safety standards.
