To ensure all environmental conditions are maintained at all times with regard to critical building systems. To carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive and breakdown works to all mechanical and electrical systems within the site. Engineers must demonstrate relevant knowledge of UPS, Generators, HV, PDU’s, HVAC Systems, Crac units or equivalent, including fault finding using graphical information and current alarm data.
Accountable to Shift Team Leader and the accounts management team. No directly reporting staff.
Education: Basic education with proficiency in written and spoken English and basic Mathematics.
Training: Formal training in Mechanical/Electrical/Refrigeration Building Services maintenance at apprentice level. Recognized Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH. Basic skills in Building Management Systems are advantageous.
Experience (Essential): Maintaining tight humidity & temperature-controlled environments. Maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment to defined criteria. Knowledge of building services systems and maintenance schedules.
Experience (Desirable): Working in a scientific environment. General building works, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
Aptitudes: Good communication skills, customer service orientation, calm under pressure, decision-making ability, physical fitness for heights and vertical access, team player.
