Job summary

Next Generation is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer near Spark Hill to deliver critical diagnostic and technical support, driving improvements in complex environments. The role requires hands-on maintenance, fault finding in robotics, and strong knowledge of Siemens S7 controllers within a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Engineer (Essential).
• Fault finding in robotics (Essential).
• Preventive maintenance experience (Essential).
• Experience with Siemens S7 (Essential).
• Fanuc/ABB qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic investigations.
• Maintain and repair assembly and ancillary equipment to maximise availability at optimum cost.
• Adhere to preventive maintenance programmes to minimise unplanned downtime.
• Define key critical spares (budget control).
• Lead improvement projects to drive sustained solutions.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis to implement Permanent Corrective Actions.
• Liaise with engineering/projects during buy-off and new part introduction, highlighting snagging and influencing improvements.
