Job Description

A Maintenance Engineer, specialising in plumbing and heating, will manage and maintain these services across all our sites within the property portfolio, undertaking both reactive and planned works.

You will be an experienced Maintenance Engineer working in our varied commercial and residential properties, as part of a small team within the Facilities and Services department.

Responsibilities include creating and updating maintenance documentation on our electronic systems, including job plans and technical reports. You will support the department's on-call rota, handling pre-planned works and responding to equipment issues.

Successful applicants must provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK from their first day of employment.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

• NVQ or City & Guilds certification in a relevant category
• Working knowledge of plumbing, heating, ventilation, F-Gas, and refrigeration
• Mechanical maintenance engineering experience
• Gas Safe trained
• Renewable energy installation and maintenance experience
• Full UK driving licence
• Knowledge of hot and cold water systems
• Good computer literacy skills
• Knowledge of LEV systems (beneficial)
• Strong fault finding and communication skills

Main Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned maintenance activities
• Diagnosing and repairing faults on various plant equipment, including water heaters, boilers, pumps, and heating systems
• Managing Legionella control responsibilities
• Ensuring health and safety obligations are met and sites are maintained cleanly
• Maintaining critical spares lists
• Supporting the Estates Manager in developing processes and procedures
