A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team in Scunthorpe. This hands-on position involves performing maintenance, fault-finding, and improvement tasks to ensure optimal plant performance. Candidates should possess strong electrical knowledge, fabrication skills, and the ability to work independently. This full-time role supports the manufacturing industry with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Time served apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Strong electrical knowledge, including PLCs and AC/DC drives.
• Competent in fabrication, welding, and machining techniques.
• Skilled with hydraulics, pneumatics, and schematic drawings.
• Experience with PPM systems and fault finding.
• Confident working independently and prioritising tasks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance tasks to ensure highest levels of equipment availability.
• Attend and repair machinery breakdowns.
• Carry out planned and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure 'RCPS' techniques are being used following all plant breakdowns.
• Maintain PPM schedules and ensure plant areas are well organised.
• Work with production teams to meet output targets.
• Prove and validate equipment after maintenance work.
• Follow all site Health & Safety requirements.

Skills

Strong electrical knowledge including PLCs and AC/DC drives
