Job summary

H.B. Fuller UK Limited in Milton Keynes is seeking a Day Shift Maintenance Engineer to ensure safe, reliable operation of plant machinery and facility infrastructure. You will collaborate with Early and Night Shift Engineers to ensure smooth handovers and continuous operations.

The role involves emergency repairs, planned maintenance, installation, and testing of new equipment, with a focus on safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across production, quality, and HSE teams.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Solid knowledge of industrial electrical systems: single/three-phase, motors, drives, control panels, wiring.
• Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, analytical, and installation skills.
• Ability to work independently and with teams; good reporting and communication.

Responsibilities

• Carry out emergency breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance, and routine tasks to minimise downtime.
• Install, commission, and test new equipment and systems.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
• Maintain plant performance through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and HSE teams to meet targets.
• Accurately complete maintenance records, reports, and shift handovers.
