Job summary
Michael Page is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support the Head of Engineering in ensuring reliable operation of plant machinery, maintenance and utilities at our site in the UK. You will undertake proactive and reactive maintenance activities under the HOE's direction.
Responsibilities include promoting health and safety, implementing planned preventive maintenance, liaising with Production to minimise downtime, and performing routine checks and repairs with a proactive approach.
Qualifications
- Strong technical background in engineering and manufacturing.
- Conversant with PLCs and control systems.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within engineering.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in engineering.
Responsibilities
- Support HOE in maintaining plant machinery, maintenance and utilities.
- Undertake proactive and reactive maintenance activities as directed.
- Promote good Health & Safety practices within the department and site.
- Assist with planned preventive maintenance implementation.
- liaise with Production to minimise disruption during maintenance or repairs.
- Perform daily, weekly or monthly machinery checks and basic repairs.
- Handle day-to-day housekeeping across electrical and mechanical equipment.
