Job summary

ATA Recruitment Ltd seeks a Maintenance Engineer to join a major UK manufacturer in Hyde, Greater Manchester. You will maintain production machinery, site services and other equipment, working in a small team with a strong focus on reactive and preventive maintenance, training apprentices, and continuous improvement.

The role requires fault-finding on PLCs and HMIs, with an apprentice-trained background and electrical/mechanical expertise.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained or equivalent qualification.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent required; HNC/HND desirable.
• Good fault-finding skills and knowledge of BS 7671 (18th Edition).
• Experience fault-finding on PLCs and HMIs in a factory environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production machinery and site services within a fast-paced environment.
• Reactive and preventive (PPM) maintenance focus with tablet-based job tracking.
• Assist and mentor apprentices as part of the training culture.
