Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a bespoke and well-established manufacturing business in the Ripley area to recruit a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical bias). This is a permanent opportunity with an immediate start available.

You will carry out reactive and preventative maintenance on production equipment, work with PLC-controlled systems, and support and mentor apprentices as part of the wider team.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or above in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent)
• Apprentice trained preferred
• Strong fault-finding skills, ideally with PLC exposure
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
• Mechanical or electrical bias considered

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance across production equipment
• Work with PLC-controlled systems on a daily basis (fault finding)
• Support and mentor apprentices as part of the wider team
• Minimise equipment downtime and support overall plant efficiency
• Communicate with other departments to support smooth operations
