Job summary

MTL Advanced in Rotherham is seeking a qualified Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This hands-on role covers planned and reactive maintenance of all plant equipment to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.

You will organise servicing, diagnose faults, fit parts, work with OEM engineers and read schematics. The shift runs Monday–Friday, 07:00–16:00, on-site with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Full exposure to maintenance, repairs and breakdowns within a metal fabrication / manufacturing environment.
• Full exposure to industrial electrics (400v 3 phase).
• Flexible approach to changing and challenging requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
• Ability to maintain quality standards and emphasise its importance.

Responsibilities

• Organising routine servicing and PPM schedules for multiple machines.
• Diagnose faults and fit replacement parts.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and arrange replacements.
• Read and transfer schematic drawings to diagnose machines.
• Work with OEM engineers and HS department.
• Maintain safety and accurate shift reports.
