Hunter Selection | B Corp™ is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for their Wincanton site in Somerset. The role offers a Monday–Friday pattern with early Friday finish and a salary in the £45,500–£47,000 range.

The successful candidate will perform planned maintenance, supervise safety checks, and support production with continuous improvement initiatives across a food/manufacturing environment. Excellent career progression opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Formal engineering qualification required (C&G Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 / Apprenticeship).
• Knowledge of continuous improvement processes.
• Strong knowledge of good engineering standards and practices.
• Experience in food, packaging, drink or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan maintenance inspections and review parts used.
• Recommend improvements aligned with projects and maintenance schedules; perform safety checks on equipment.
• Monitor plant conditions, report defects and repair machinery.
• Create and maintain SOPs and risk assessments to ensure compliance.
• Report on plant performance using systems and address non-conformances.
• Work on valves and pumps; support production and continuous improvement projects.

Our client is a leading manufacturer that is dedicated to producing products that's quality is recognised as second to none. With a strong order book and over £9mill of investment going into the factory & growth into various export markets they are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering team.

Role & Responsibilities

• Planned Maintenance inspections, review parts used


• Recommend improvements in line with projects and maintenance schedules, carry out safety checks on range of equipment


• Monitor plant conditions, report defects, repair of machinery


• Generate and maintain compliance to SOP's, risk assessments


• Report on plant performance using systems, ensure action on non-conformance issues


• Working on a range of valves & Pumps


• Supporting production & continuous improvement projects

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Formal Engineering Qualification - C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship trained
